Eik Teleport is the primary Maritime hub in Marlink, the Teleport is located in Lund municipality, Rogaland Fylke, Norway and currently employs about 90 people. Eik Teleport is situated 13 km from Moi, the administrative center in Lund municipality.

We are looking for fresh graduates to join our Maritime Network Operations team. As a Network Support Engineer, you will make sure our commercial customers receive world class support of our managed maritime services. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong skills in customer interaction. The ideal candidate will be able to combine multiple inputs in the problem-solving phase and delve deep into the issue to come up with the ideal solution or workaround, while keeping the customer updated and engaged. Candidates with experience are welcome to apply as well. 

Main Task & Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd Level technical support based on events from monitoring systems or faults reported by customers (as part of the incident management process). The 2nd level Network Support team is working mainly with Cisco and Fortinet solutions, but also with 4G/5G modems and managed WIFI solutions.
  • Work in a 24/7 shift rotation in the Maritime Network Operations Center
  • Create and process requests from customers
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency, ability to work independently, quality focus, attention to detail and a drive for ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of support and troubleshooting processes and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Technical education on university level or equivalent
  • Knowledge of IP, Networking & Routing
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
  • Excellent general IT knowledge
  • Driver’s License

Preferred (but not required) Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of Fortinet or Cisco solutions
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security
  • Knowledge of WIFI and mobile 4G/5G/LTE networks & services.
  • Knowledge of ITIL
