Moreld Apply was established in 1979 as an engineering design contractor for the oil and gas industry. Since then, the company has progressed to become a supplier of complete turnkey projects for maintenance, modifications and operations support contracts for onshore and offshore facilities.

We are looking for a Principal Technical Safety Lead Engineer, to join our team in Stavanger.

Purpose of the position
To lead the team of Technical Safety Engineers and drive technical expertise across a diverse range of projects.

Selected tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead multidiscipline reviews and be responsible for all activities regarding technical safety in all project phases.
  • Quality check and approval of discipline deliverables.
  • Ensure that discipline activities are carried out in accordance with approved plan
  • Ensure that the customer receives the optimal technical solution based on technical integrity and cost
  • Support and guide the technical safety discipline in technical issues
  • Ensure that documentation is in accordance with guidelines and requirements.
  • Coordination of deliverables with other disciplines and suppliers 
  • Assist project management with time- and cost estimates

Qualifications

  • Formal higher education, Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in engineering or other. 
  • Long relevant experience and/or additional qualifications may compensate for lack of relevant formal education
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in offshore modification project
  • Good knowledge of relevant Regulations, NORSOK and IEC/ISO be able to weigh opposing requirements and give proper advisement/recommendations based on risk analyses
  • In-debt understanding of the platform systems good multi-discipline understanding
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken
