Our head office is in Stavanger, with additional offices in Bergen, Hammerfest and Notodden. Our subsidiary in Poland (Krakow and Katowice) is providing support on projects within multi-discipline engineering.

Moreld Apply was established in 1979 as an engineering design contractor for the oil and gas industry. Since then, the company has progressed to become a supplier of complete turnkey projects for maintenance, modifications and operations support contracts for onshore and offshore facilities.

Moreld Apply has currently around 1700 people employed.

Purpose of the position
The role is a combined role shared by Moreld Group and Moreld Apply. You will have the overall responsibility for the group financial reporting process and associated consolidation of divisions and full group. Managing the accounting department for Moreld Apply AS.

Selected tasks and responsibilities

  • Main responsibility for periodic consolidating reporting for the group
  • Prepare reporting package and review component reporting.
  • Maintenance and further development of the Consolidation System.
  • Manage and develop the group's accounting and salary department, including personnel responsibility for 10 employees.
  • Act as the company's professional resource in accounting, tax, and tax-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines (internal and external), legal requirements, and contribute to good internal control.
  • Maintenance and development of various models used by corporate accounting.
  • The role will be central in assessing and further develop shared service center functions for the Moreld Group.

Qualifications

  • Preferably State Authorized Public Auditor or similar. Master’s degree in audit, accounting, finance, or other relevant discipline. Long relevant experience and/or additional qualifications can compensate for lack of relevant formal education
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Strong IFRS and NGAAP knowledge
  • Experience with Tax regulations is an advantage
  • Preferable with experience from cloud-based reporting and consolidation systems (incl. planning and performance management)
  • Familiarity with Tagetik or similar reporting/consolidating systems is an advantage
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
