Purpose of the position
We seek an experienced professional with a deep understanding of process engineering to take the lead in supporting early-phase engineering in the Front-End & Green Solutions Business Unit. The team delivers projects within a wide range, including offshore wind, hydrogen, and oil and gas. As a part of the Front-End team, you will be included through the project life cycle, from tender to investment decision.

Selected tasks and responsibilities

  • Process lead of selected task and project.
  • Identify design and operating cases.
  • Guiding/leading process and mechanical design, review and approval processes.
  • Perform process and mechanical equipment sizing and capacity evaluations.
  • Perform modelling and simulation.
  • Perform flare and blowdown evaluations.
  • Take the lead on process safety analysis.
  • Be familiar with PSD/ESD shutdown hierarchy and startup/shutdown philosophy.
  • Contribute to the development of P&ID, PFD, and UFD.
  • Participate and facilitate HAZOP/Design Reviews and contribute to closeout actions.
  • Conduct quality checks of the technical reports and discipline deliverable.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Process technology, Chemistry, or other relevant engineering education.  
  • Minimum 12 years' experience in process or process safety engineering in the oil & gas, power sector, chemicals, or similar industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of process technology, separations technology, gas compression, produced water systems, gas handling and conditioning, water treatment, membrane systems, energy optimization, and heat recovery.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of process functional and operational requirements and philosophy.
  • Experience from project execution models study fases including FEED and MMO and EPCIC.
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in Norwegian considered an asset.
